You will be responsible for delivering category defining analytical capabilities and services to client accounts. You will be expected to work with senior account handlers and client teams to get under the skin of campaigns, define how performance should be measured. You will have strong experience interpreting and analysing complicated, disparate, large-scale data sets and visualizing your findings in a way that conclusions and recommendations can be easily drawn.
Scope of the role:
Get under the skin of marketing plans and client’s propositions to help formulate robust test & learn strategies and produce detailed Performance Measurement Plans prior to campaign launches
Define and drive the creation of product-specific learning agendas
Play an instrumental role in evolving and designing new, innovative measurement tools. Managing the process through to delivery and take ownership of global roll out
Ensure the appropriate data points are being collected from the appropriate data sources during campaign execution – to ensure Account teams and clients are measuring campaign performance in the correct way
Work with Account teams to help define the correct questions to get under the skin of campaign performance and then interrogate data sources to deliver the answers
Oversee the production of regular campaign reporting for our Account teams to share with clients, helping them understand the key drivers of performance and inform future activity
Oversee the creation of clear, robust and thought-provoking campaign reviews and insights
To help deliver “best in class” analytical capabilities across the agency, including the use of new methods, techniques, tools and systems
Play a key role in the induction of new employees to the company, particularly teaching them the agency’s approach to analytics
What you will need to bring:
6+ years’ experience in an analytically driven media role, preferably agency-side within the digital marketing industry
Proven competence in managing budgets/campaigns, and exposure to various tracking methodologies
Exposure to the measurement of both Direct Response and Brand Awareness campaigns
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify business questions, analyse data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
Highly advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience interrogating databases and systems using SQL and/or other tools to obtain answers, and for organizing data for analysis, pivot table building, and chart construction, pattern and trend recognition
Demonstrate outstanding capabilities in data manipulation, cleansing, interrogation, and interpretation. Possess proven capabilities in relational SQL-like databases essential. Exposure to distributed/big-Data tech preferred (Hive/BigQuery/Scala/Spark etc.) Exposure to Python/R or other scripting languages highly desired.
A knack of presenting complicated data in a way that cuts-through the noise and allows the audience to focus on the underlying trends and insight
Strong organizational and project management skills, to ensure you can keep on top of your own and others' workload
Established and professional communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to distil and convey complex ideas to both internal and external customers
An understanding of what data points can be collected within the digital world and how digital marketing performance can be measured
Experience using statistical techniques and applied knowledge of statistical & analytical techniques (linear regression, distributions, statistical tests, experimental design) is essential.
