Audience Development Director (Up to £60,000)
Luxury, fashion, retail. Three area's that are at the core of this publisher. Now, they're not the traditional "media publisher" that we're all used to, they've created a new publishing model that's built for this generation.
As a business, content is of course a huge factor, but underneath that, innovation and collaboration are the two main pillars that have driven the business to where it is today, and they're looking to reflect that once again by bringing in an Audience Development Director.
Personally, I'd say they are at the forefront of digital publishing, and with some of the best editors in the world of luxury, fashion & retail, the content that they are producing, is informative, personal but you can feel the passion behind it. What they need is someone who can now drive that content across the UK with a growth hacking mindset and develop their audiences across all platforms.
This role really feels more like a digital marketing role, than an Audience Development but it does require some responsibilities that might be new, but certainly exciting. These are as follows;
Collaborate with all teams including Editorial, Digital & Commercial and help build out plans to enhance audience growth.
Ownership across all paid, earned & owned media, with a strategic viewpoint on how to drive development of these mediums.
Strategic planning of all search (PPC & SEO), social media & content marketing, whilst working closely with the execution team on delivery.
Opportunist, identifying opportunities to help enhance channel growth.
Hands on execution of the audience development plan.
Fundamentally playing a pivotal role in the growth of the company, this is central role that will have a major impact on 2020.
So what are we really looking for?
Expertise in audience development or growth hacking to drive results (but this time will be audience numbers & engagement)
Experience in Paid, Earned & Owned channels.
Analytical & data focused, but with a creative eye!
Experienced in working within the media industry, i.e. Media Owner or Publisher (but they are open minded to the background)
Last but by no means least, a passion for luxury, fashion or retail!
