The Company

The client is a content driven media company producing premium business information research services and marketing solutions for senior level decision makers. Through their subscription products, online panels, industry leasing websites and traditional media, they deliver high quality business information to global audiences. They supply must have independent content, premium analysis and industry networking opportunities to thousands of senior decision makers.

The Role

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Director as an addition to their growing global sales team. This will be a hybrid role with focus on a renewal base and new business quota in Asia Pacific. A successful candidate in this fast paced and innovative environment will demonstrate strength in identifying the customer requirements, collaborating internally, and selling solutions to an executive-level audience.

The Candidate

He/she must have at least 5-years of successful sales experience within media, SaaS or MarTech sales to blue chip client base and/ or horizontal operators (healthcare/pharmaceutical, professional services, financial services, technology clients). He/she must also have excellent communication skills, especially the ability to articulate a compelling message and influence, persuade and negotiate with all levels of people. This individual will be energetic, self-motivated, and an independent worker based out of our Singapore APAC Office.


  • Identify and understand the business goals, objectives, key customer issues, and new initiatives of clients and prospects in order to develop the appropriate response solution

  • Achieve and/or exceed quarterly sales revenue targets based on growth of existing subscriptions and new business

  • Qualify the client’s organizational structure, available budget and decision process to ensure accurate forecasts of renewal business and new business growth opportunities

  • Demonstrate ability to sell high value information services

  • Develop healthy business relationships with a broad set of senior executives, key department representatives, and functional users at clients and prospects

  • Solid grounding in business concepts of Professional Services Industry

  • Achieve consistent renewal and new business goals through effective sales pipeline management


  • Bachelor's degree

  • Capable of managing a target of circa $1.5m-$2m

  • Good knowledge of various marketing disciplines and media channels

  • Capable of creating and delivering presentations to c-suite individuals whilst leading the meeting and identifying the needs of the clients

  • Knowledge of the lead generation process and how it can perform as part of a marketing approach

  • Experience in upselling accounts by selling in complex solutions
