Channel Manager (YouTube)

My client is looking for YouTube Senior Channel Manager who can lead planning and strategy and as well as drive audience growth and engagement of my client’s YouTube portfolio of music and entertainment brands.

You will take ownership of our relationships with our main entertainment accounts and lead a small team to execute world-leading digital content strategies. You will also support the wider team to drive growth and engagement across our network of owned and operated social -first media properties including our Ents and Music MCNs and our portfolio of Snap shows. 

The ideal candidate will be someone with experience working at a multi-channel network or digital content agency with a firm grasp of Audience Development and an understanding of Rights Management and YouTube CMS/CO Management.

We’re looking for someone who is a whizz at data and analytics and is able to come up with strategy and ideas by extracting audience behaviours from the back end data. From here you will develop a coherent plan to drive audience growth, channel stickiness, video views and overall engagement.

It’s handy if you are a social media native and plugged into the latest Gen Z and Millennial consumer, media and popular culture trends. If you’re into your TikTok influencers, know your way around the latest grime underground music scene or the latest electronica as well as gaming and film and a dab hand at media strategy when it comes to YouTube and Snap, then we’d love to hear from you. 

Desired Skills & attributes:

  • 3+ years experience working on YouTube. 

  • Knowledge of YouTube Creator Studio and the YouTube Content Management System.

  • Demonstrable experience in dealing directly with clients.

  • Knowledge of Rights management systems and strategies on YouTube.

  • Clear and confident communicator.

  • Keen analytical mind that can turn data into insights.

  • Ability to produce high quality reports.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly evolving business.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.

  • Experience managing teams.
