Client Director – Retail Client Category 

Competitive basic (dependent on experience and contacts with senior Retail Marketing decision makers) plus sales commission


Our client is looking for an experienced senior Director with extensive client direct contacts, knowledge and expertise in the Retail / Shopping / eCommerce marketing space.

The ideal candidate will have extensive contacts (UK primary, Europe and Global secondary) and will have a good understanding of the Retail ecosystem and the burgeoning shift to eCommerce and where bricks and mortar fits in as well as the consumer purchase journeys.

Reporting into the Global President Of Client Partnerships this is a senior role that requires a consultative sales style to build long term conversations with clients

The candidate will have a passion for all things cars and have a ‘can-do’ attitude with significant experience in building meaningful business relationships with top tier Marketing decision makers. 


  • Work with Senior Commercial Leadership Team to plan and forecast accurately.

  • Source new leads and manage an existing portfolio of top clients.

  • Identify new strategic opportunities.

  • Pitch to clients and ensure full understanding of clients’ needs

  • Develop strategic long-term brand partnerships that are profitable and also answer clients’ marketing needs

  • Organise client workshops / attend industry events

  • Arrange high quality meetings with key marketing influencers in the retail space


  • 8+ years experience in sales/senior client management

  • Black book of client direct relationships at Retail Marketing Departments

  • Experience in brokering largescale partnerships and have a working knowledge of the digital eco-system including video, data, native and programmatic sales 

  • Proven excellent sales and strategic approach to marketing and understanding the Retail and eCommerce landscape
