If you are keeping up to date with the fast moving world of digital advertising, you’ll know the rise of contextualised advertising in digital audio platforms such as Music Streaming, Digital Radio and Podcasts.

Globally, online music streaming subscriptions have increased by 35% YoY and in Q1 of 2020, across all platforms there were 394 million subscriptions which was larger than the 20% YoY growth in monthly active listeners. This shows just how how large this industry has come and will continue to grow in the coming years.

“Picture this, it’s raining, you’re on your commute to work, looking at holidays on your phone. You stop and start listening to music, next thing you hear is an advert on Soundcloud - *soothing advertising voice* Hi (your name!), why don’t you keep looking at holidays to Malta, while it’s horrible wet and rainy here in London today, how about 10% off hotels all of next month” – this is a dynamic, creative and contextually relevant advertising. This is what the future looks like, and what my client is doing right now.

They are looking for someone who understands programmatic and wants to combine that with a love for audio to join their growing team and help them manage their client relationships, understand new opportunities for growth and increasing revenue spend with existing clients.

This role will be working globally with their partners across multiple markets and ensuring they are being looked after as if they are your own members of staff! This role will be a great opportunity to further develop existing partnerships as well as develop your own new relationships from the ground up, being the main point of contact for any commercial focused conversations and any queries they may have around audio partners in the market.

Role requirements

  • Experience managing clients in an Adtech business or Agency position

  • Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem and the players within that

  • Experience working in Audio is a huge plus

  • A commercial mindset, being able to spot new opportunities to grow revenue within existing clients and acting on them

  • The willingness to explore hunting out new potential partnerships

  • Great communication ability, in person and over the phone

  • Great attention to detail

  • Great team player and the ability to work cohesively as one unit with all internal teams

  • Strong English ability both written and spoken
