Sales Director – Media Agencies (AdTech)

The company:

I’m hiring for a global leading AdTech company, driving innovation in the advertising and marketing space. They have their own unique proprietary tech and some excellent products build around AI technology. Worth over $200M they’re a real rocketship AdTech platform.

They are a passionate and growing team at the forefront of the industry, and are now looking for an experienced and ambitious Sales Director to join them and lead our expansion within the media agency landscape in Sydney. It’s a role which can grow into a potential country manager role with time if you’re ambitious, entrepreneurial and confident in your sales ability and have a strong network across media agencies then we should set up a chat!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve ambitious revenue growth targets across assigned media agencies.
  • Build and cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers at major media agencies, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
  • Lead a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to ensure their success.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, tailoring presentations and proposals to specific agency needs and objectives.
  • Negotiate and close complex deals, exceeding assigned sales quotas and maximizing revenue generation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Product, Customer Success) to develop and implement effective sales strategies and ensure seamless campaign execution for clients.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build brand awareness and generate new leads.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in a leadership role within the AdTech or media agency sales space.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Extensive experience building and managing high-performing sales teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives at media agencies.
  • In-depth knowledge of the AdTech landscape, programmatic advertising, and media agency dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address customer challenges.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute effective sales plans.
  • Passion for AdTech and a desire to contribute to a fast-paced and growing company.
