Sales Manager, AdTech:

I'm working with a globally leading Adtech business who have a really strong product suite. They are are expanding and looking for x2 new sales people to help them with their continued growth.

They are specifically looking at selling their Retail Media Solution which helps brands & agencies. Retail Media is one of the fastest growing sections within digital media & Adtech and is an exciting world to live in right now!

Overview of Retail Media

The business I'm partnered with are investing heavily in its retailer facing business that helps clients manage all aspects of their ad and audience monetization programs, also known as Retail Media. This is the placement of brand advertisements within eCommerce sites and mobile applications of retailers, as well as brand and retailer-specific ads offsite.

The Retail Media division was created with the mission to be the technology platform that powers the most efficient and measurable retail media ecosystem for the world’s leading retailers and brands. They are the leader in Retail Media worldwide, with over 100 of the world’s top retailers and many of the world’s top brands as client partners.

Overview of the role

As a Sales Manager, you will be expected to win new business, nurture prospects, grow existing clients, initiate and manage a multi-product proposition sales cycle to close. You will be working with some of the largest & well-known brands and agencies. You will be facilitating joint business planning meetings as well as strategic growth development conversations. Draw up sales account plans and be responsible for forecasting to achieve quarterly targets.

What you’ll do:

  • Reach and exceed business development goals while contributing to overall team goals

  • Provide world-class customer service to drive revenue growth with existing Large Customer portfolio while working closely together with the Account Strategist team

  • Full responsibility for winning a target list of major new business prospects

  • Develop & maintain relationships at all levels with brands and agencies

  • Prospect, penetrate and create new relationships with media agencies where required

  • Champion new products and solutions externally to the market

  • Maintain extensive product knowledge through internal relationships across product and client service teams

  • Identify and understand trends within the Retail industry, what makes a campaign successful and apply learnings to help generate further new business

  • Attend major industry events and award ceremonies to build a strong network

  • Work closely with the Account Strategist team members to leverage existing contacts and identify new opportunities

  • Accurate pipeline management and ownership of both new & existing opportunities across multiple products

  • Hit or exceed quarterly revenue target

Who you are:

  • Ideally digital media sales experience, display, search and eCommerce

  • Face to face client sales

  • Strong track record of driving new business

  • Established relationships with key contacts in prospects from the key Retail industry sector (brands and agencies)

  • Strong negotiation, influencing skills and an ability to open doors across clients at all levels

  • Offer exceptional standards in terms of client service

  • Passionate about new media and how performance marketing can define new boundaries in the online advertising industry

  • Someone who understands how the technology works and has the ability to explain in every day terms to a client

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the online advertising industry

  • Ability to work in a fast-moving company

  • Industry knowledge of competing products a plus

  • Ability to persuade executive level management of the value proposition

  • Strong communication, analytical skills and problem-solving skills

  • Result-driven

  • High levels of communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to understand clients business needs and position solutions in a timely and personalised way

  • Ability to prioritise in the face of demanding time frames
